The next version of Silver Catalyst is almost ready. Here is a quick overview of the major changes:

1. The biggest difference is that this version will be hosted online. All you need to do is to sign up and you can get started immediately. No downloads, no setup hassles.
2. We’ve completely revamped the interface. The new interface is a lot easier to use.
3. Features can be divided into one or more tasks. This is useful for teams that work with a two level hierarchy of Features and Tasks.
4. We’ve added a taskboard to the dashboard screen. You can drag and drop tasks to change their status and glance through the taskboard to check on which tasks remain to be worked on.
5. Another big feature addition is the ability to prioritise features by dragging and dropping them in the order that you want. This allows product owners to easily keep the backlog prioritised.

Silver Catalyst will be opened for public beta in the first week of January. The tool will be free to use during this beta period. Watch this blog for an announcement when it is ready.
